The XR 8M and XR 12M, the latest additions to the Avery Weigh-Tronix XR Series of bright-red LED remote displays, are designed to convey weight, time/date and other key data in scale transactions. Each model delivers a 5x7" matrix display that allows operators to easily slide, scroll or flash any alphanumeric message. The XR 8M and XR 12M display up to eight 4" characters or twelve 3.5" characters, respectively, and provide excellent readability at ranges up to 250 (XR 8M) and 200 (XR 12M) feet.
The XR 8M and XR 12M displays deliver excellent readability in indoor and outdoor conditions, including in applications such as unattended truck scale systems. All models are also equipped for the easy-to-install RF option, allowing wireless communication to a remotely located PC or scale indicator. A robust enclosure design made of weatherproof, powder-coated mild steel additionally defends against challenging environments.
Utilizing advanced Auto-Learn technology, the XR 8M and XR 12M remote displays allow for simple connection and communication with the controlling device, such as an indicator or PC, automatically learning the data string of virtually any instrument for true plug-and-play operation. The units also include four annunciators for gross, net, pounds and kilograms, plus decimal points indication. To provide an easy visual reference during loading or unloading operations, the displays additionally feature a full-width bar graph to verify process status.
