The purchase of certain assets from the two former VCES branches was announced in a joint statement by Michael Liptak and Bill Flood, Highway Equipment & Supply Company’s principal owners. The customers served by the former VCES operations in Lewisberry and Moosic will now be incorporated into the four branch locations presently operated by Highway Equipment in Harrisburg, Drums, Lititz, and Lock Haven.

Products currently represented at the VCES locations will continue to be available.

"The incorporation of the two former VCES stores’ customers with our dealership will be seamless and uninterrupted," said Liptak and Flood. "We welcome these customers to our dealership, where they will receive the very best of service, product, and support that Volvo Construction Equipment and Highway Equipment have to offer."

The acquisition of the Volvo VCES branches by Highway Equipment was effective June 30, 2009.
