Sentry Equipment Corp recently received a Department of Defense Patriot Award from The National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Sentry has a strong philosophy of supporting employees who serve our country, and even supplements any reduction in wages for employees who are called to active duty.The award nomination was made by two of Sentry’s employees who are National Guard members: PFC Dennis Maloney and SPC Devin Draeger. Private First Class Dennis Maloney is with the 32nd Infantry Brigade that will soon be deployed to Iraq. He is a Welder at Sentry Equipment, who joined the National Guard this past November.The award presentation includes Specialist Devin Draeger, of the 432nd Civil AffairsBattalion, who spent most of 2008 in Iraq and returned to Sentry Equipment in November as an ITSupport Technician; Sherri McDermott, VP Human Resources; Jim Phelps, Manufacturing Specialist & Welding Supervisor, and a former member of the U.S. Army; and Frederick McCormick, chair emeritus for the Wisconsin Committee of ESGR.
