DICKINSON, N.D. – Tommy Fisher, president and CEO of Fisher Sand & Gravel Co. (DBA Fisher Industries), will attend President Trump’s State of the Union address with Rep. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) on Tuesday, Jan. 30 in Washington D.C. “I am honored to accept Rep. Kevin Cramer’s invitation to attend the State of the Union address,” said Fisher. “Fisher Sand & Gravel Co. was started by my father in southwestern North Dakota over 60 years ago, and it is a privilege to represent all of the employees of Fisher Industries at this address.” Congressional members are each allowed one ticket for a seat inside the House Gallery during the President’s State of the Union address. Members often use this as an opportunity to recognize someone important or highlight an issue they are working on in their state. As one of the six companies awarded a contract to develop a prototype for construction of the wall by U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) along the American-Mexican border of the United States, Fisher believes their proposal for a border protection system can be built at an affordable cost, within a briefer timeframe and provide better protection. Tommy Fisher, CEO of Fisher Industries, said in a recent interview, that the company has submitted a proposal to construct not just a wall, but a long-lasting border protection system, including high-speed access roads for agents as well as flood protection. "Our proposal also includes guaranteed on-time and on-budget project completion, as well as warranty on all workmanship, all backed by a multi-billion-dollar bond," Fisher says. “We are a true design, manufacturing and building company,” Fisher says. “Our vertical integration allows us to control all aspects of the project, which ultimately drives schedule, price and quality. We believe our solid concrete wall will withstand the elements better than any other alternative.” Fisher Industries conducts most of its heavy civil construction in the southwestern United States and has built several projects through mountainous terrain. Fisher says the innovative factors in its proposal will produce large savings per year that will ultimately pay for the project over time and help ensure safety and security for all Americans.
