Columbia Steel’s John Bergner now serving surface mines in Mountain States region

PORTLAND, OR – Columbia Steel is pleased to announce that current District Manager John Bergner has added dragline operations in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana to his customer base. 

Bergner has 17 years of experience representing dragline chain, rigging, and GET products, and over three decades as a Columbia District Manager.  

“John has a wealth of product knowledge and an energetic approach to solving problems for his clients,” says Tony Miotke, Engineering Manager for Columbia’s dragline product group. “He’s a real go-getter.”

Bergner adds, “Customer satisfaction is always my focus. I enjoy being on the front line, working with maintenance end-users to provide the replacement part solutions they need. I’m looking forward to putting my experience to work for mines in this region.”

Columbia Steel is headquartered in Portland, Oregon, USA. The 86-acre facility is home to an on-site product design and engineering department, large scale machine shop, and full service steel casting foundry. Columbia Steel serves surface coal mines, aggregate producers, cement plants, metallic mining operations, and scrap recyclers with a wide range of replacement wear part designs in a variety of alloys.
