VertiWear 600 is a gas-shielded, flux-cored, all-purpose wire designed for hard surfacing mild and low alloy steel components subject to moderate abrasive wear and medium to high impact. It operates in a smooth, semi-spray arc transfer with 100% CO2 or 75% Ar/25% CO2 shielding gas and provides high deposition rates and good productivity in out-of-position applications. It can be used to create a maximum of eight layers on applications including dragline chains, dredge ladder rolls, kiln trunnions and mill guides. VertiWear 600 wire deposits a multi-purpose martensitic steel alloy that can be applied crack-free in multiple layers with proper procedures.
