Hobart Brothers Company is located in Troy, Ohio and was founded by Charles Clarence Hobart in 1917. The company was family-owned and operated until its acquisition by Illinois Tool Works (ITW) in 1996. Based in Glenview, Ill.. ITW is a multinational manufacturer of a diversified range of value-adding and short lead-time industrial products and equipment.

Hobart Brothers Company manufactures premium welding filler metals, including stick electrodes and solid and tubular (flux cored and metal cored) wires under the brands Hobart® , McKay® , Tri-Mark® and Corex®. All filler metals are sold through welding distributors and meet or exceed the specifications of the American Welding Society (AWS) and other regulatory classifications.
